Hello all π
I am going to write my entire experience in this thread hope you find it helpful
What's the story?π³
So my search for good budget range rubbers for my Himalayan started at 7k kms when the stock Ceat Tyres went bald. I switched to a MRF accidentally which is completely different story I would skip it for now.
After the MRF gave up. I was convinced to try Reise moto when I came to know it is the same company that makes Mitas Tyres.
Where did you get it? π€
While I was browsing through the internet for Reise Tyres tyremarket.com stroke my eyes and they gave a coupon as well around 15β20% off up to 750rs. for my driving style I preferred Reise tour-r because Iβll be cruising mostly on highways and little bit of off-roading which will be capable by any touring Tyre. Reise tour-r and maxxis maxplore have similar thread pattern I hope Reise can handle offroad as well.
Enough of your story tell me how much is it! π₯΅
I got the Tyre at 2407rsπ€ with offer included. which is less than the price mentioned in Reiseβs official site. surprising right? lucky meπ
Did you got it or its just a scam? π
Tyre was 2023 made fresh lot came well packed and quick to my doorstep. appreciate Tyremarket for their service their relationship person was constantly in touch with me the entire time resolving my queries.
How did you install it? by yourself! got fingers of wrenches? π§π
I got my tyre installed in a MRF outlet nearby for 250rs. I didn't want to give it to the road side shop because I was worried about the way of handling. there are experienced mechanics who do it right way. but unfortunately I haven't got anyone nearby so its better to do it from a well equipped facility is what I thought and they did a good job with tyre change neat and clean.
New Tyre mmmm..π when will you test it? π
It was exactly the weekend so I went for a total of 400kms ride in two days right after the Tyre change. ignore my dirty bike I washed it after this picture
My 400km Experience
Immediate change what I felt was the braking. Himalayan owners know how the brakes would be but for my surprise it was an extraordinary experience. it was sooooo damn smooth when braking. previously the abs motor will be working hard to save me and my bike. but after Tyre change abs motor didn't even kick in cause the Tyre itself is too good at proper braking.
How is the ride quality?
Ride quality was very comfortable. I felt like this Tyre is not very soft like stock Ceat or not very hard like the MRF. It was like a perfect sweet spot.
No cornering?
How would there be no cornering. I did came across so many curves during my 400km ride it was very confidence inspiring. didn't loose any traction
What about the Tyre noise?
Tyre noise will be there in almost all the tube Tyres and it is not much of a problem. to answer this question yes Tyre noise is present
Conclusion of first experience π΅
These Tyres are the best in 3k budget range. overall balanced performance and a good handling with very comfortable ride. try it out for your Himalayan or other bikes and let me know how was your experience. you can reach me at Instagram
